Coming in the final week of June, E.K.M. will present readings from his new novel, The Supremes Sing the Happy Heartache Blues, at three more locations -- in the Midwest and on the East Coast. These events are FREE, and open to the public, though sometimes the presenting location requests a reservation from you (so they have an idea how many people will be attending). There may also be information on how the book-signing portion of the event will be run (the presenting bookstore loves it when you buy a book from them). Details are available for each location using the links below -- click on each bookstore’s name. On Sunday, June 25th at 1:00pm, E.K.M. will be reading at the Barnes & Noble store near the stylish Keystone Crossing Mall in Indianapolis. E.K.M. was born and raised in Indiana and he returns there often. It will be a special afternoon, bringing the new Supremes Sings the Happy Heartache Blues novel back home to friends and fans in Indianapolis! Sun, June 25th ~ Barnes & Noble ~ 1:00pm The Shops at River Crossing (near 86th Street & Keystone) 8675 River Crossing Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46240 ~ (317) 816-1370 On Tuesday, June 27th at 6:30pm, E.K.M. will be reading at the lively FoxTale Book Shoppe in Woodstock, Georgia (about a 35 minute drive from central Atlanta). The last time E.K.M. was there they had an event which the store owners described as “Shockingly Inappropriate Goings-On,” so THIS appearance at FoxTale is not likely to be boring! The event here will include a free wine and cheese reception and a warm welcome from the (permanent and summer) residents. If you live anywhere within driving (or boating) distance this is a great opportunity to come to Petoskey for some wine, cheese and an evening in the company of Edward Kelsey Moore! He's going on a book tour in late June and during July -- the first three of Edward's reading and book signing events will be in the Chicago area. A dear friend, author Julia Glass, will also be reading from and signing her new novel at the first two of these events... So double the entertainment! There may also be information on how the book-signing portion of the event will be run (the presenting bookstore loves it when you buy a book from them). Details are available for each location using the links above -- click on each bookstore’s name. We are thrilled and honored that Edward's friend, National Book Award-winning author Julia Glass, will be a co-presenter at the first two events. Her new book is A House Among the Trees. She's an insightful and interesting person whose readings and conversations are always entertaining. For the Saturday event at Seminary Co-op Books, (without Julia Glass) there will be special musical guests: a few string players from the Chicago Sinfonietta Project Inclusion who will brighten the afternoon with selections of classical music. Come and meet the authors -- and bring a book-loving friend or two to make it even more enjoyable! Please note that on the Saturday afternoon of the Seminary Books event there is a large music festival taking place along the lakefront on the south side of Chicago. Allow extra travel time if you will use South Lake Shore Drive to come to Seminary Co-op Books. |
