Edward Kelsey Moore began his professional life as a classical musician. During his early years of teaching and performing music, Edward also began composing short stories and studying the business side of getting his literary works published. As time passed he learned, improved, and created a second career as a writer. Edward's debut novel, The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, became an international hit and a New York Times bestseller.

Edward had more stories in mind for these characters and so he wrote a second book, The Supremes Sing the Happy Heartache Blues, a compelling sequel to the first novel.
(Publisher's Weekly gave it a starred review.)

Over the next several years the Supremes at Earl's book was adapted for film by Searchlight Pictures and Temple Hill Entertainment. The Supremes at Earl's movie had its theatrical premiere in late 2024, and then began streaming exclusively on Hulu (in the U.S.) and on Disney+ in dozens of other countries around the world. Odette, Clarice and Barbara Jean (the small-town Supremes) have many thousands of new fans!

When he's not writing Edward is a co-host of the lively podcast series about movies and books called, Who The Hell Are We?.  There are more than 100 episodes which you can hear (free!) wherever you stream or download your podcasts.

And the multi-talented man continues to perform classical music with several professional orchestras in the Chicago area.

Printer’s Row Lit Fest in downtown Chicago
(South Loop) on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026 at 1:00pm.

At the Let's Talk Golden Girls! event, Edward will converse with guests: Dr. Taylor Cole Miller, PhD,
co-author of The Golden Girls: Tales from the Lanai (2025), and David Cerda, co-founder of Chicago’s premier camp and parody theater company, Hell in a Handbag Productions. Among many other roles in his energetic career, David Cerda created and stars as Dorothy in the long-running hit, The Golden Girls: The Lost Episodes.
