Here is the cover for the German edition, coming from publisher L!mes next March. L!mes is one part of a major publishing group in Germany, but they are very selective. From all the new books released around the world L!mes chooses only a dozen titles each year to translate for German readers: "Books of popular fiction with class and distinction for readers who like to be surprised and are open to the unusual, mysterious and unexpected!" The L!mes translation of THE SUPREMES will also be used for a German audiobook. Having an audio edition adds more ways to enjoy the novel... which means more Freunden (friends) to meet when E.K.M. is on tour in Germany next April. You can visit his German book page at L!mes here.
(Click on each of the cover images above to see it larger.) It’s Thanksgiving season and THE SUPREMES AT EARL’S ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT hits bookstore shelves in less than four months. I’m feeling especially grateful for the early readers, Random House sales reps, and booksellers who have said such nice things about the book via my Facebook author page, on Twitter, and on Goodreads. My editor and the staff at Knopf have also forwarded the messages you've written to them, describing your feelings and observations after reading the novel, and all of these increase my gratitude.
And thanks to the people who have mentioned THE SUPREMES in their online blogs, posted pictures, or written online articles highlighting my book among the releases next spring. Special thanks to Shelf Awareness, the Library Journal and Clifford Garstang (author of the fine story collection, IN AN UNCHARTED COUNTRY) for helping to get advance word out. I’m incredibly excited. (And not getting neurotic and weird about it, no matter what anyone might be saying. I swear.) - Edward Kelsey Moore |
