Edward Kelsey Moore's award winning, bestselling novel, The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, has been chosen by Books to Bridge the Region (B2BR) for their annual "one book" program in Northwest Indiana. This year the B2BR theme is: Secrets We Keep. Books are chosen for readers at different ages/reading levels. Libraries, bookstores, K-12 schools, colleges, and universities in the area are actively encouraged to offer programming to explore the chosen theme. The Supremes at Earl's was the title selected for adult-readers -- a book on this year's theme was also chosen for middle readers, and one for picture/easy readers. The goals of Books to Bridge the Region are to promote literacy, to create conversations among families and communities, and to foster critical thinking related to the annual theme. B2BR will join with the Northwest Indiana Literacy Coalition and its partners to deliver over 200 "Lit Kits" with copies of The Supremes at Earl's to libraries, high schools and colleges in seven Northwest Indiana counties. Locally led book discussions will be scheduled at some of the locations in October and November. Books to Bridge the Region also arranges author visits and other special events during the autumn months. (We will post information here on Edward Kelsey Moore's public events for B2BR when details become available.) The B2BR books are selected for their subject matter, writing quality, and reading pleasure. For more on Books to Bridge the Region -- click here! Comments are closed.
