Coming up on Saturday, June 6th, and Monday, June 8th, 2015, Edward Kelsey Moore will be sitting among his cello colleagues for the final performances of the Chicago Sinfonietta season. The concert program, United We Stand, unites us through our shared experiences as Americans. Vietnam veteran James “Kimo” Williams offers a unique musical and multimedia tribute to our service members, using veteran photographs submitted by patrons and musicians to accompany this moving performance. Experience our country’s legacy through the eyes of two other composers— Ives, offers an unexpected version of America, followed by Dvořák’s New World Symphony, embodying the American spirit through the eyes of an immigrant. Please join the Chicago Sinfonietta (and Edward Kelsey Moore) in celebrating our nation as they close the Sinfonietta concert season.

The Chicago Sinfonietta is "the orchestra of diversity," a professional symphony orchestra which forms unique cultural connections through the universal language of music. Since 1987 the Sinfonietta has presented an exciting blend of musical and artistic genres, mixing the Classical and Romantic repertoire with bold contemporary works. In its explorations of symphonic music the orchestra shatters traditional boundaries through its collaborations: exploring synergies between classical music, dance movement, live theater, and other (non-classical) musical styles. The Chicago Sinfonietta performs regularly at Wentz Concert Hall in Naperville, IL, and in world famous Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center in downtown Chicago.
