![]() Coming up this Sunday and Monday the Chicago Sinfonietta will present HEAR ME ROAR -- Women shape the world and their influence on symphonic music is far greater than the average program of classical music might lead you to believe. In Hear Me Roar, Sinfonietta challenges the traditional image of the classical music composer and presents the work of women artists from different places around the world, and spanning nearly a century. This concert celebrates women’s unique voices in classical music and places their work center stage, where it has always belonged. Next week several of the pieces from this concert will be newly recorded by Chicago Sinfonietta (including Edward Kelsey Moore) for release in 2019 as the orchestra’s 16th album! E.K.M. will be among the musicians of the Sinfonietta for these concerts. Sunday, March 11, 2018 ~ 3:00pm Wentz Concert Hall 171 E.
