The wait is over... Today Henry Holt & Co. has published Edward Kelsey Moore’s new novel, The Supremes Sing the Happy Heartache Blues, in the U.S. and Canada!  The novel is available to you as an E-book, on AudioBook-CDs or Streaming Audio, and as a book-lover’s hold-it-in-your-hands Hardcover!  In fact the U.S. edition has sky-blue covers with gold embossed lettering on the hardcover -- it’s a happy thing!  And for those of you overseas, the British edition will be published before the end of June by Hodder & Stoughton, for the U.K., Australia, NZ, South Africa and other Territories.  Translations into French, German and Brazilian Portuguese are also in progress!

Starting later this week Edward Kelsey Moore, in person, will be introducing The Supremes Sing the Happy Heartache Blues to various parts of the U.S. with readings and conversations in local bookstores.  For information on where E.K.M. will be appearing live -- visit the Book Tour page.

Reviews and praise for the new novel continue to appear -- here is a brief sampling:

“The three “Supremes” of Plainview, Indiana—a name that emphasizes the unpretentious tone of Moore’s storytelling—are down-home African-American women, except that Clarice is a concert pianist with a penchant for Beethoven, Barbara Jean is Plainview’s wealthiest philanthropist, and Odette—well, Odette talks to the dead. This is comfort-food...full of Moore’s sweet but not saccharine affection for his characters.”
—Kirkus Review

“Moore's bluesy, breezy novel takes readers through life's highs and lows and in-between times...in this story of family, friendship, and forgiveness.”
—Library Journal (starred review)

“Spending time with the Supremes is like slipping into a warm embrace of love and laughter, soul-searching and sass. Edward Kelsey Moore has crafted a novel that beautifully illustrates the healing power of forgiveness.”
—Melanie Benjamin, author of The Swans of Fifth Avenue and The Aviator’s Wife

“Edward Kelsey Moore, besides being laugh-out-loud hilarious, has a profound understanding of human nature. This book is a joy to read.”
—Fannie Flagg, author of The Whole Town’s Talking and Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe

And fresh from this morning is a new review by BookPage:

“Moore masterfully balances sorrow and humor, scandal and earnestness, to create a soul-nourishing narrative that entertains and captures life’s richness.”  —BookPage
