A Thousand Words (3)

Earlier this month Edward Kelsey Moore put his pen and typewriter in a valise and got in the horseless carriage and drove down to southern Indiana to write.  He spent a week in a rural cabin with water and electricity but few of the other "modern" conveniences, and he set himself the task of accomplishing lots of quality work.  There was a small lake with picturesque morning fog.  At night bullfrogs and crickets sang their love-songs and at dawn the birds celebrated each new day -- then the smallest animals scampered across the cabin roof, going about their simple lives.  And so he wrote. (104)
