While working toward the publication of his new novel -- arriving in just three weeks -- The Supremes Sing the Happy Heartache Blues (a sequel to the bestselling, The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat) author Edward Kelsey Moore has had some essay ideas in the back of his mind. Over the past two years Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) has commissioned several series of essays from E.K.M. To kick off a new 2017 series for MPR he has written one called “Fighting Weight.” In this essay E.K.M. shares lessons he's learned through his struggles with maintaining weight. “After seeing myself fat, thin, and everything in between, I've learned to be thankful for every version of the body that has carried me from adventure to adventure.” You can read the essay yourself or listen to the author read it to you! Either way, the new piece is available free at Minnesota Public Radio’s ClassicalMPR web site and their free music streaming site, YourClassical.org.
